No fear: I read how to defeat monsters. I’m a professional book-warrior. 🐾Kylo isn't scared of most things. I’m sure it’s from all the Tom Clancy and zombie apocalypse books he reads.

Do you understand Leia’s predicament? What book did that to you?
While I was grocery shopping, I finished Oathbound (love audiobooks). However, I knew what to do with myself. I went to the next book that finally got released from hold at Library. Sometimes books are too good and you need time to wallow or think about them for awhile before you jump to the next book. Maybe you're afraid another book just can't be that great and you'll be disappointed. Luckily there are so many books in the world, you'll eventually move to the next one and find another favorite eventually. Do you ever feel put out or bothered by people interrupting your reading or is it just me? Bookworms are introverts for a reason.
I love my fur babies but they (Kylo especially) demand attention when I finally get a moment to write. I read with audiobooks but I’m convinced, if I sat down to read a physical book, the 3 Solos would interrupt too. My lunch break at work is my only time to write during the week. I go to a dark cluttered office no one uses to escape people. I still get interrupted if someone wants something from the clutter. Oy! Poor Leia likes to cuddle, but if she's in the coveted spot on the couch that all 3 Solos like, she gets bullied out of it. She is perfect at demonstrating the utter frustration and annoyance getting interrupted from a good book brings. It is usually by someone we love, but we wish they just understood. Is your To Be Read (TBR) list or pile of books growing to the ceiling? Is it threatening to fall onto you and smother you to death?
Here are some tips on how to deal with your TBR: 1. With gentle TBRs, smile at it and ignore it. No harm, no foul. 2. Persistent TBRs, can be ignored, but may become more aggressive. Push back slightly with the promise you will read a book from the list. 3. You can hide, but eventually TBRs find you. 4. Ultimately, you are in charge and may need to remind your TBR of that fact. 5. You decide when and what you read. If you want to buy more books, your TBR needs to cool its jets. See the 3 Solos demonstrate this in a social media Reel: |
